Davida Fanniel

Davida Fanniel is the National Service Program Administrator for the National Service Program. Before accepting this role in January 2023, Davida was an Equal Opportunity Compliance Officer for the Illinois Department of Economic Opportunity (DCEO). Davida was responsible for the operation of the Illinois Equal Opportunity (EO) Act and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance Program for the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity (WIOA) Centers Statewide to ensure the implementation of non-discrimination policies and procedures.

Prior to her work at DCEO, Davida was the Program Manager for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and was responsible for managing the fifth largest emergency food program in the nation, whereby working with the 8 foodbanks in Illinois to supplement the diets of low-income families and individuals.

Before her work at TEFAP, Davida spent 17 years with the Illinois Department of Human Services Business Enterprise Program for the Blind (BEPB), procuring and managing over $19 million worth of new and used equipment throughout Illinois.

Davida earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Edward Waters College, Florida’s first black institution of higher learning. Davida is a Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and is an active volunteer in her community.
