Capital Area Career Center - CACC offers 22 different programs for local students to earn industry credentials, dual credit and entry-level career skills, including Health Science and Technology courses. Students can choose to begin their training for careers as an Emergency Medical Technician, Nursing Assistant, and Medical Assistant.

Capital Area School of Practical Nursing - CASPN currently offers an accelerated nine-month LPN program that is divided into four quarters which must be taken in sequence. Students may enter the program in August or February each year. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a certificate and are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN examination and upon passing obtain an LPN license with the State of Illinois. CASPN also offers evening CNA courses.

Illinois State University Mennonite College of Nursing - Memorial Health and Illinois State University’s Mennonite College of Nursing (MCN) have partnered to open a new MCN location in Springfield to increase the capacity to educate more individuals to become nurses in Central Illinois. Transfer students at Mennonite College of Nursing’s Springfield location follow the Traditional BSN plan of study while being immersed in Memorial Health's hospital network. Students develop their skills inside a state-of-the-art simulation lab and receive clinical placements tied to coursework across five different hospital settings. MCN Springfield students also have opportunities for paid employment as a student, additional clinicals and internships, full-time job placement following the completion of their degree, and scholarship money to assist them in their education.

Lincoln Land Community College Medical District - LLCC-Medical District at 130 W. Mason, Springfield offers short-term health care career training programs along with general education classes, continuing education courses, customized training and more.

Lincoln Land Community College Health Care Training - Explore the wide variety of degree, certificate and skills training programs offered by LLCC in nursing and health care. There are opportunities to work directly with patients as well as behind the scenes. LLCC programs provide hands-on training to prepare you for your career.  

Lincoln Land Community College Nursing Education Center - In partnership with Memorial Health, this state-of-the-art facility created expanded learning opportunities for LLCC students and enabled LLCC to continue to increase its nursing enrollment. The Nursing Education Center includes 1,900sqft. nursing skills lab, simulation labs (including labor/delivery lab), practice lab, classrooms, office space for nursing program staff.

Memorial Learning Center - The Memorial Learning Center was designed specifically to foster communication, education, collaboration and innovation among the healthcare workforce. The MLC has state of the art Workforce Development Simulation Center where students and healthcare professionals can learn in simulated patient care environments capable of mimicking real-world scenarios.

Southern Illinois University School of Medicine – Founded in 1970, SIU School of Medicine has reached international acclaim. SIU School of Medicine sets the standard in medical education. Their award-winning curricular design, combined with hands-on teaching, small class sizes and attentive faculty, provides the foundation for a rewarding, fulfilling career in medicine or research.

St. John’s College of Nursing – St. John's College in is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and offers an upper division baccalaureate nursing degree program for students who have completed the prerequisite liberal arts and science courses at any accredited college or university. It also offers continuing education programs to serve nurses and allied health professionals in Central and Southern Illinois.

UIS School of Nursing – The UIS School of Nursing is part of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Nursing (UIC CON) and its newest campus. The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Nursing is consistently ranked in the top 10 for nursing schools nationally and was recently awarded a #2 ranking in research funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The UIC College of Nursing is accredited through the commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CNNE). The UIC CON has partnered with the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) and Memorial Health Systems and by fall 2016 will start offering students an opportunity to earn a UIC Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree on the Springfield campus.
