The Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance (SSGA) is pleased to present Scott Stratten, author, award-winning speaker and CEO of UnMarketing to the business community in Springfield on Thursday, April 28, 2022. Stratten is the founder of UnMarketing, a company aimed at helping businesses thrive through building relationships, cultivating integrity, community and authenticity.
Shelley Tulo, Director of Marketing and Communications at Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance, said this presentation is designed to give leaders and business owners advice and a deeper understanding of how to grow their business in a captivating way.
“Scott Stratten has this incredible ability to take all the business processes and strategies that we make complex and make you see them in a really simple, direct way,” Tulo said. “When he’s done speaking, I always feel like common sense has prevailed and I’ve seen a very funny comedy show.”
“My wife, Alison, and I have written six books about business, and it all comes down to one thing; unmarketing,” Stratten said. “My goal is to help people find the things that allow you to have your business in an authentic way, in a natural way, and even in an ethical way to bring business now and in the future.”
The event program will include a 45-minute speaker session, a 15-minute Q&A, followed by a cocktail reception and book signing opportunity. The event takes place at Wyndham Springfield City Centre, located on 700 E. Adams Street, Springfield, IL. The cost is $35 per person and online registration is required.
Scott Stratten gives live and virtual presentations on UnMarketing and energizes his audience to make changes within their own businesses. Before founding UnMarketing, Stratten managed bands in Toronto and went to school for Human Resources. He was an HR Generalist at Goodwill Toronto then a National Sales Training Manager for Polyair/Cantar before returning to Sheridan College to become a Business Professor.
