As the fourth generation owner, Mike O'Shea grew up in his family’s construction business, holding a variety of jobs, including truck driver, estimator, and project manager. He now he serves as president of the company, a position he’s held since 1998. Under Mike’s leadership, O’Shea Builders has grown significantly and is involved in a wide variety of commercial construction projects. It is a recognized leader in key sectors, including healthcare, education, and faith-based. During Mike’s tenure as president, the company has grown from a workforce of 40 to a team of more than 150 commercial construction professionals. It is involved in several projects across a broad swath of the state from I-80 to I-70 and spanning to the eastern and western Illinois borders. O’Shea Builders’ headquarters are based in Springfield, and it has offices in both Peoria and Champaign.
He serves on the Monastery of Mary the Queen Advisory Board. He is a founding member of the Central Illinois CEO Forum.
Mike and his wife, Beth, are members of Cherry Hills Baptist Church and have two young adult children, Matt and Grace.
