The Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance (SSGA) is unveiling several new web-based tools it has developed to assist businesses in retaining top talent and helping those searching for employment, find the right opportunities. The new features, which can be found on SSGA’s website at thriveinspi.org/work/ include a public job search tool, called Find A Job, with local job listings. It’s website also includes a web-based portal called Inside Track which HR and recruiting professionals can utilize to help connect the spouses, partners, or significant others and/or other family members of new recruits moving to the area with job opportunities.
“An important part of our mission at SSGA is pursuing the economic prosperity and growth for this area and we believe that helping businesses find and retain top talent is an important part of that,” said Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance CEO Ryan McCrady. “The Springfield area is known for Illinois State Government but is also home to global leaders in enterprises that include healthcare, manufacturing, professional business services, technology and more. We believe the tools we have developed will not only make it easier for employers in every industry to attract quality employees, but also help individuals already living here or those considering a move, find the perfect career for themselves, faster.”
The new Find A Job section of the website includes a comprehensive and easily accessible way to view current job openings in the Springfield Metropolitan Area from the last 30 days. SSGA has collaborated with the Illinois Department of Employment Security to compile and publish a list, which currently includes more than 7,000 local jobs – in every sector and at every level. People can search by name or position to find relevant job listings.
SSGA has also created a new web-based portal, called Inside Track, which provides a centralized resource tool for business recruiters and HR leaders. It allows businesses to post the resumes and experiences of individuals that may be relocating due to someone in their family considering a job in Springfield and Sangamon County. Other HR professionals will be able to review those resumes knowing that the person already has a spouse or family member moving to the area. The Inside Track portal can only be accessed by registered users from local businesses and is designed to help connect those individuals who may be moving to Springfield with career opportunities in the area. The Inside Track portal also includes a compiled list of Internship opportunities in the area.
